Description: | The Oconee Chamber Fall Festival was started in 1974 and today is known as a premiere Arts & Crafts festival. It is held annually on the 3rd Saturday in October, in Historic Downtown Watkinsville. With over 200+ booths and 25,000 in attendance, this one day, outdoor festival is the largest arts & crafts venue in the area. Artists Amenities Include: Convenient, free parking Overnight security Friday setup Complimentary Friday night meal Commemorative T-shirt Strong community support Drive to booth space for load-in and load-out Loyal, long term repeat customer base Other Festival Information: Free hayrides to and from the festival area (from select parking lots) KidZone: Rock Climbing wall; Spider Jump; Inflatables; Mechanical Bull ride; Train ride (small children) Pets are not allowed in the Festival area. Directions to the Festival site: Use address 21 N. Main Street, Watkinsville, Ga 30677; for your GPS system. From I-20: Take 441 North, at Watkinsville, take business 441 into downtown. The festival site will be on the right at 3rd Street. From Atlanta area: Take I-85 North to GA Hwy. 316. Travel approximately 28 miles to GA Hwy. 53. Turn right on GA Hwy. 53 and travel for 14 miles. Turn right onto Experiment Station Road (at Publix/RiteAid) and go approximately 2 miles until the road intersects Main Street. Turn right on Main Street. Festival site is on the left at 3rd Street. From Macon: Take U.S. Hwy. 129 North toward Eatonton. Turn left onto U.S. 29 toward Madison. Cross I-20 and turn right onto U.S. 129/441 North toward Watkinsville. Follow U.S. 129/441 for 22 miles. At Thomas' Orchards, turn right onto South Main Street. Go Approximately 2 miles. The festival entrance will be on 3rd St on the Right. |
