Description:

From Cotton Pickin' Fair Website:

The Cotton Pickin Fair is a festival created by the Gay Family and held continuously since 1972 on the 1828 family farmstead. An 1891 farmhouse, built by the towns namesake, Judge William Franklin Gay and the 1911 Building, built by his son, J.R. Gay, anchor the eight (8) acres venue. Over 350 artisans and antique specialists from across the United States are nestled in and around interesting farm buildings. Musicians, puppeteers, folk dancers, and a magician entertain on a variety of rustic stages across a tree-lined farmstead reminiscent of rural life a hundred years ago. A grand variety of delicious southern food prepared on site benefits local nonprofit organizations and charities. Located approximately 50 miles south of downtown Atlanta and 50 miles north of Columbus on Georgia Highway 85 in the little town of Gay, GA; the Cotton Pickin Fair is held on the first full weekend in May and October from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
