The Doerun Booster Association's May Day Festival and BBQ Cook-off for 2019 is going to be a fun filled celebration the whole family will enjoy!

We, at the Doerun Booster Association, are building on years of past celebrations, experience, and memories, to make this year's celebration even better than the last. There will be local Vendors on hand to provide food, drinks, snacks, and amusement for the children.

Events get started Friday evening May 3rd 2019 with live entertainment on stage , and at 7PM with the Doerun BBQ Cook-Off competition of Rib-eye Steak and Brunswick Stew. The winner of the steak and stew competition will be announced on the stage at 9PM.

For our annual BBQ Cook-off competition. There will be prizes awarded for each category, as well as an overall competition Champion, who will win the Grand Prize and a Trophy.

Competition for this year's grand prize will be diverse. We have local talent, local teams, as well as sponsored teams from all over the region. All competitors will be putting forth their best BBQ talent in hopes of winning big. There will be many chances to win. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded in all categories.

Saturday May 4th Festivities will kick off with our annual May Day Parade at 10am. Opening Ceremony for May Day in the Park will commence at 11am. Once May Day is officially underway, there will be Singing, Performances by Local Bands and Talent, BBQ judging, Games, Karaoke, Shopping, Food, Drinks, Snacks, and Fun activities for the kids.
