| Description: | The directors of the Dunwoody Preservation Trust (DPT) are pleased to announce the 19th annual Lemonade Days Festival, a five-day event to be held at beautiful Brook Run Park in Dunwoody. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the 1998 tornado that tragically destroyed entire Dunwoody neighborhoods and led to the first Lemonade Days held as a relief effort for affected families. It has since grown into a five-day festival with something for everyone that last year attracted more than 80,000 festival-goers. This year's Lemonade Days will feature more than 30 exciting full-scale carnival rides, more than 20 fabulous food-and-beverage vendors, a 5K run, a Country Store, multiple craft vendors, ponies, a petting zoo, three days of center-stage performances with live music and its now-famous Dunwoody Idol contest. Bigger than ever, the event will feature exciting new attractions including The Nemesis 360, the latest and greatest ride offered by Peachtree Carnival Rides. The Nemesis 360 offers riders the thrill of substantial hang-time at its 80-foot top, with an impressive amount of G-force at the bottom. Lemonade Days is DPT's major fundraiser, with the profits going to the rehabilitation and maintenance of the historic 1870 Donaldson-Bannister House and Gardens - an historic restoration partnership of the City of Dunwoody, DPT and the community. This year also marks the official opening of the Donaldson-Bannister House as a public special-event and educational facility. The festival will run April 18-22, with the following hours of operation: Wed., April 18, 4pm-10pm Thurs., April 19, 4pm-10pm Fri., April 20, 4pm-10pm Sat., April 21, 10am-10pm Sun., April 22, 12noon-10pm Wristbands for unlimited rides are available for $20 (Wednesday) and $25 (Thursday-Friday). Brook Run Park is located at 4770 North Peachtree Road in Dunwoody, Georgia 30338.
