Hawkinsville is the Harness Horse Racing Capital of Georgia. Since 1894, harness horse trainers have brought their horses to our Horse Training Facility to train annually October through April to prepare for qualifying races held in April during the annual Hawkinsville Harness Festival. During this fun-filled family event you can watch live harness horse racing and experience an assortment of local music, arts and crafts, and delicious food. Join us at our next Harness Festival, and enjoy this unique Hawkinsville experience.
