| Entertainment | The Race Expo kicks off the race day festivities on the Friday before the race, September 9, from 8 am until 6 pm. Expo on Race Day Saturday, September 10, 2016, starts at 6 am. The EXPO is held at the Conyers Street Gym, across from the Covington Police Department's headquarters located at 1143 Oak Street, S. E. Individuals can register for the race and/or pick up their bib number and t-shirt packet at the EXPO. The EXPO fee is included in the Diamond, Platinum and Gold sponsor packages. It is a great opportunity for companies to advertise and share information on what they have to offer. It is a good platform for personal trainers, fitness organizations, and various health professionals to network and brand their business. Any business that is not at the Diamond, Platinum or Gold level sponsorship may still reserve a spot at the Friday and/or Saturday EXPO for a fee of $100, plus a door prize from their business valued at a minimum of $50 or a $50 gift card. We encourage any and all sponsors and vendors to participate. We also encourage any and all door prizes to be donated for this worthwhile event, which is also another avenue to advertise your goods or service. Door prizes are given away throughout the day on Friday and during the race event on Saturday. All of our sponsors are listed on our website, the back of the race shirt, logo on the finish line, logo at the entrance of the field, fixed logo on the scoreboard, and scrolling logo on the electronic scoreboard. We will provide a table and two chairs and you will be responsible for your own tent and tie-downs. | Activities | Fuzz Run Cotton Cup Challenge Cotton Cup Challenge The Fuzz Run Committee created a special competition challenge for the local businesses and decided to name it after our Chief of Police, Stacey Cotton, who has always shown such great support for the Fuzz Run. We call this challenge, The Cotton Cup Challenge. Every year local groups and businesses show their community spirit by competing to see who can register the most Fuzz Run participants. This competition provides a great team building opportunity for employers to engage with their employees, and promote community involvement. The Cotton Cup Challenge provides organizations with additional advertisement during the race event, as well as on the Fuzz Run website. Participants will receive a discounted rate through the Cotton Cup Challenge. As an added bonus, the winning company gets to take home the Cotton Cup trophy to display, and bragging rights! A business representative will organize a Fuzz Run Team for their organization. Some companies choose to pay for their employees' entry fee to the race to promote team building and wellness within their structure. The team representative will gather all the pertinent information needed for the race as opposed to each individual member signing up for the race online. This representative will be responsible for the race entries and picking up the team's packets. The Fuzz Run committee will organize the team packets and have them ready for pick up at the EXPO Friday. Don't miss this great opportunity to have some healthy competition within your organization. Challenge your buddies to see who can cross the finish line first â winners in each group will receive an award and bragging rights among your friends. All runners will still be eligible to win age group categories. Walkers and runners alike can compete in groups of ten or more during the Fuzz Run 5K. Show your spirit with a fun team name!
