See real wild hogs taken from the Ocmulgee Swamp during the 25th Annual Ocmulgee Wild Hog Festival in Abbeville, GA, held Saturday before Mother's Day each year. Among the events will be an exciting Hog-Dog Baying contest, and Children's pig chase.

Browse through over 100 arts and crafts booths or make your food selection from over 25 food vendors. Relax in the shade on the grass and enjoy all kinds of good music and other entertainment including line dancing, clogging, bands, and singing. There will be kiddie rides, ponies, tractors, and a much more.


The Ocmulgee Wild Hog Festival has a lot of exciting things to offer to a wide variety of fun seeking enthusiasts.

Arts & Crafts and food are just a small part of what we have to offer. We have two stages that have entertainment all day including country, gospel, and rock music and clogging and line dancing.

There is also the famous Wild Hog Baying Contest that goes on all day. Wild hogs taken from the swamps of the Ocmulgee river are used. Dogs are judged on how well they can bay a wild hog.

That's not all! We also have a children's pig chase, kiddie rides, and so much more. There really is something for the whole family to enjoy.
