Founded in 1999 by surf guitarist Scott "Rip Thrillby" Rogers, Drive-Invasion has become Atlanta's premiere annual event celebrating drive-in culture. Over the past 15 years, many legends have graced the Drive-Invasion music stage. Artist such as Blue Oyster Cult, Jason and the Scorchers, Wanda Jackson, The Supersuckers and Roky Erickson have found a home amongst our crowd affectionately known as Drive-Invaders. This amazing event has also featured many b-movie starlets and legends such as Tura Satana, Haji, Lori Williams, Sid Haig, Jack Hill, Ted V. Mikels and Mary Woronov. No Drive-invasion would be complete without great food, a classic hot rod car show and the world's greatest b-movies projected under the stars. Hosted by the Starlight Six Drive-in Theatre until the proliferation of digital projection, Now in it's 15th year, Drive-Invasion will continue to live on and celebrate Rip's vision of bringing a community closer together.
