The aroma of jerk cuisine, roast fish, curry, mannish water, roti, bake and salt fish, and various other succulent Caribbean culinary specialties will tickle your senses. Add to that the pulsating sounds of Reggae, Dancehall, Calypso, and Soca. You could very well mistake the Georgia capital for a Caribbean capital city, say Kingston, Port of Spain, or Georgetown.

As the only event of its type in the state of Georgia, the annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival has been bringing the flavors and rhythms of the Caribbean to Georgia and surrounding states for the past eight years. There are few better combinations than tasty food and hot pulsating music in a relaxed atmosphere. As festival co-founder and principal organizer Glen Simmonds says, "Come for the food, stay for the fun!"

This annual celebration of Caribbean food and music will feature live reggae, calypso, gospel and jazz performances by national and international acts on the festival main stage. There will also be food vendors, craft vendors, fruit vendors, and even jelly coconut vendors. There will be games and prizes for the kids in their very own Kid Zone. The competition inside the Games Tent will be intense as domino experts battle for supremacy. Can anyone say 6 love!! Lovers of ludo, bingo, and checkers will also have the opportunity to match wits against each other.
