| Description: | Location: Broad st Team Endurance will sponsor The Roman Mile. This race will include some of the best elite runners throughout the northwest. Prize money will be given to the Top 3 Elite Men and Women Finishers!The Roman Mile will also feature the first ever Youth Road Mile Championship! We have invited some of the best youth runners in the state to participate in this mile race. The Top 5 Boy and Girl Finishers will be awarded!! The one mile race will travel through the historic downtown Rome area. Additional Information : Wave InformationThe race will have two wave starts. The first wave starts at 8:00 with each wave starting approximately 10-15 minutes after the last. If you wish to run in a different wave, you do need to let race officials know. *Wave start times subject to change. The Team Endurance does not allow the selling or trading of race numbers and will take necessary action to prevent these transactions. If Officials become aware of an individual involved in the buying or selling of an Official Race Number, the individuals involved may be banned from participating in future events.Important For your safety and for the safety of others, the following are NOT allowed on the course: - Unregistered participants (including friends, family, coaches and pacers)- Automobiles- Bicycles- Strollers- In-line skates- Hand cycles and hand-cycle wheelchairs- PetsThank you for your cooperation!Parking Information-Packet picket up Packet pick up will be available at 840 Turner McCall BLVD GA HWY 20 Rome GA 30161 US in the hospitality room January 13,2012 from 12:00-6:30 or in front of the start line on race day 6:00 to 7:30.StandardsAthletes wishing to enter the 1 Mile Road Championship Wave for the Riverside to broad St 1 Mile must have a current meet one or more of the following criteria: Youth Boys : 4:55.99 (track only) or equivalent 1500m in the last year Youth Girls : 6:10.99 (track only) or equivalent 1500m in the last year Men - 4:19.99 mile (track only) or equivalent 1500m in the last year Women - 5:29.99 mile (track only) or equivalent 1500m in the last year One Mile Elite RecruiterIf you would like to be considered for the Road 1 Mile Championship, please contact Elite Recruiter Andrew Fuller Once you've contacted a recruiter, allow up to five business days for a response.Email: AndFull84@yahoo.com Awards & Prize Money 1st, 2nd and 3rd place age group awards will be given in the following categories: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.
