Description: The Valdosta-Lowndes Azalea Festival continues to grow and grow! The 2009 Azalea Festival, held in March, attracted more than 30,000 people for the 2 days and featured 158 vendors, a 25% increase in vendor participation . The crowds enjoyed live music, a wide variety of foods, arts and crafts from around the country and the world, kids activities galore, racing pigs,the outstanding "kazoo man," cloggers, Native American dances and demonstrations plus the enjoyment of meeting friends on a lovely South Georgia spring weekend in a park resplendent with beautiful azaleas. All this with NO ADMISSION CHARGE!

The Valdosta-Lowndes Azalea Festival Committee wants to thank our many sponsors and friends for their support of this event. The Azalea Festival is created each year by a dedicated group of local volunteers who meet monthly to organize the details of the event. We are always looking for new ideas and ways we can celebrate the beauty of the Valdosta-Lowndes County area at the annual Azalea Festival.
