Description: Arts and Crafts Vendors’ General Information

Vendors: The Forsythia Festival is limited to 100 vendors. Applications are accepted on a first‐come, first‐served
basis. All work must be original, produced by the exhibitor and for sale. All accepted exhibitors must be present
during the hours of the festival. Dealers or agents may not stand in proxy for the artists and crafters.
Registration fees will be deposited ONLY if the applicant is accepted. Registration fees will be returned to those
applicants who are not accepted. A $35 fee will be assessed for any returned check.
Please include a self‐addressed stamped #10 business envelope with your application so we may send
correspondence back to you.
Non‐Compete Policy: The Forsythia Festival has a non‐compete policy such that no vendor may sell the exact
same product. Because artistic license applies, the festival reserves the right to have more than one vendor selling
a similar product (such as jewelry, paintings, etc.), as long as the products are diverse enough.
Booth Setup: Vendors may ONLY set up Saturday morning between 6 AM and 9 AM. Vendors must staff and keep
booths intact during festival hours (Saturday from 10 AM until 6 PM, and Sunday from 12 noon until 5 PM). Exhibits
may not be set up prior to 6 AM, Saturday, and setup must be complete no later than 9 AM, Saturday. Vendors’
tents/setup must not infringe upon neighboring spaces or public areas. Exhibitors may not relocate or move from
their assigned space without expressed consent by the executive festival staff.
Display Area: Display areas are an average of 10‐feet wide by 12‐feet deep and are located on the city street.
Exhibitors must provide their own tents, tables, etc. Tents or coverings must be self‐supporting. Drilling or
puncturing street surface is strictly prohibited. The festival highly recommends weighing down tents in the event
of inclement weather or strong winds.
Eligibility: All media must be handmade and original. Flea‐market items, manufactured items, and handmade
imports will not be accepted. Commercial crafts or crafts originating from kits are not acceptable. All exhibited
work must be similar to the photographs submitted and will be verified by the festival representatives, who
reserves the right to require vendors to remove any item or items that do not meet these requirements or any
item not approved upon acceptance.
Electricity: Electricity is available for an additional fee. Applicants who require electricity must indicate it on their
application, but they must provide their own electrical extension cords. Vendors may bring a generator, however
it must be indicated your application and ONLY QUIET GENERATORS WILL BE ALLOWED.
Festival Hours: The Forsythia Festival is held the second weekend in March, Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and
Sunday from noon to 5 PM.
Photographs: Two photos of you demonstrating your craft and one photo of your booth set‐up must be included
with your application. Accepted vendors’ photos will not be returned.
Attendance: The Forsythia Festival is a two‐day art‐ and‐crafts show. ALL artists and vendors are required to
attend both days for all hours of the show.
Location: The Forsythia Festival takes place in the streets of downtown Forsyth. From I‐75, take exit 187 and turn
toward the downtown district. Forsyth is located 1 hour south of Atlanta via Interstate‐75 and twenty minutes
north of Macon. Use exits 187 or 186 off I‐75.
Security: The City of Forsyth Police Department provides security from 6 AM, Saturday, through 6 PM, Sunday.
Inclement Weather: The event will not be rescheduled or canceled due to weather. Exhibitors must supply
protective coverings/equipment needed to display their work. There will be no refunds.
